Awards, awards!

I came back from the Munich Comic Festival on Sunday night and finally present you the Germanga related winners of the PENG! Award and the ICOM Award 2011:

PENG! Award 2011, Best Manga (National): Anna Hollmann - Stupid Story
The PENG! is awarded by the readers (voting on Animexx.de et al). Stupid Story has already received two Sondermann Awards (volume 1 in 2008, volume 2 in 2009) and an AnimaniA award (volume 1 in 2009). And as Volume 3 is about to released, Anna Hollmann could become the first Germangaka to be admitted to the Sondermann Hall of Fame - if the third volume receives the award as well.

Furthermore, both, David Füleki’s Blutrotkäppchen (originally published by the independent publisher Delfinium Prints, soon to be republished by Tokyopop Germany) as well as the third volume of Fireangels’ Lemon Law received a citation at the 2011’s ICOM Award, Germany’s independent comic award. Laudatory speeches - in German - can be found here:
Blutrotkäppchen & Lemon Law 3 - both written by Gerhard Schlegel.
